The Tome Ep 73: 4e Workshop

profile.jpgMike Mearls conducted a 2 hour workshop on how to tweak 4th edition D&D to fit your liking as well as discussing some possible game-breaking issues. This recording is missing the last 30 minutes of the seminar, but you get a pretty good idea of what was covered.

If you want to ask more questions hop onto the forums on the Tome's website.

The promo played is for Pulp Gamer's Accent your Character CDs, which are some of the prizes you can win with the Tome's Summer 2008 Contest.

The Tome Ep 72: Forgotten Realms Transition

You are going to hear about Cormyr, Shadowdale, Anauroch, The Grand History of the Realms, The Orc King, and an update on what to expect for the 4th edition version of the Realms.

If you want to know more head over to the forums to discuss it.

TSP: Blood of the Gorgon 3 of 4

profile.jpgThe Tome Show Presents: Blood of the Gorgon brings you my thoughts on Senior Patronage and an interview with a Senior Patron, Ben McFarland.

The Tome Ep 71: Chambers at Origins

Jaime Chambers is a VP at Margret Weis Productions. He sat down with myself and JJ "The Workingman" Lanza of Fist Full of Comics and Games and spoke to us about what is coming down the line for his company. This interview has two different versions, the one you get here is more focused on D&D related topics, while Fist Full of Comics and Games is releasing a version that focuses more on the Cortex games (Serenity, Battlestar Galactica, etc.) that they produce. So be sure to head over and check out the rest of the discussion.

When you're done listening don't forget to swing by the website and visit the forums.

I also mentioned in the episode that if you want to catch the rest of the Keep on the Shadowfell Actual Play episodes you should head over to the Gamer's Haven website and check it out!

The Tome Ep 70: Game Night

profile.jpgGame Night is a comedy gaming novel. Not technically a D&D novel, but the inspiration is there and so it was that Gabe Gregoire and myself give you our two cents on it.

Don't forget to check out the Tome's Summer 2008 Contest page at the website and if you want to let me know where to go with the Origins content head over to the forums.

Promo this time was for RPG Podcasts.

The Tome Ep 69: Mearls at Origins08

profile.jpgMike Mearls took a few moments out of his busy convention schedule to answer a few questions for the Tome. There are also seminars that he lead that I recorded that you can expect to hear in future episodes, but this is the first official report from Origins, as promised.

Don't forget to check out the Tome's forums, website, and email.

Promo is for Amorphous Blob Games/The Amorphous Blobcast.

The Quest for Origins (VIDEO)

That's right. Just to give you a sneak peek to what I did at Origins here's me rambling on about various things along my trip to the convention interspersed with footage of the people I met and talked to along the way. Don't expect video to become a regular occurrence, but for special events like this, I don't mind putting something together. Hope you enjoy!

The Tome Ep 68: Rise of the Runelords

profile.jpgGeoffrey D. Winn reviews Rise of the Runelords, the first Pathfinder Adventure Path.

Also discussed are the forums, Summer 2008 Contest, 3.5 Private Sanctuary, and Origins.

Check it out and enjoy. More coming later this week...
